Studio Musings is a group of images that are the result of Katherine’s meanderings outside of the parameters of the foundation collections. Sometimes a selection of works migrate from the artist’s portfolio to the home decor collection in the creation of limited edition art pillows. These works are produced using fine fabrics for the backs and an embellishment carefully selected for each piece. Some pillows are adorned with a tassel or perhaps a Murano bead sourced on the same trip the images were taken.

The De Architectura Collection has moved from the foundation collections allowing for these pieces to stand alone, outside of seasonal color changes and other considerations that move the other collections in various directions. Not unlike the stone edifices they are based on, the De Architectura images defy the Quixotically changing demands of “fashion”!

All of us have health and social issues that are near and dear to us or that we can agree need more attention and work focused upon them. Each year at Arcadia Park Designs we will be dedicating a portion of proceeds from specially designed pillows to organizations that we believe advance awareness, and in some cases eradication, of these issues. In October 2015 we presented the Victory pillow for breast cancer awareness month. Victory will remain available for one year and we will introduce a new Breast Cancer Awareness pillow each October.
